James B. Edwards received a Presidential Appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, where he graduated in 1971, with a Bachelor of Sciences degree. After five years of service in the Army as an Infantry officer, Mr. Edwards was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas Law School in 1979 and went to work for the Houston firm of Liddell, Sapp, Zivley, Hill and LaBoon for approximately two and one-half years. Following this, Mr. Edwards was employed by the medical malpractice defense firm of Ryan and Marshall. On December 31, 1984, he opened his own offices, Edwards and Associates. Mr. Edwards is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the field of Personal Injury Trial Law.
