Seyoung Kimis an alumna of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea, where she earned Dean’s List honors for three semesters. During her undergraduate, she was an exchange student at the University of Lausanne, where she studied Political Science in French, and she lived in Paris.

Prior to attending law school, she began her professional career as a marketing researcher for pharmaceutical companies, where she developed an interest in the medical field and working closely with physicians. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center and was named to the Dean’s List in Fall 2023. During her time in law school, she gained judicial and litigation experience through clerkships in the Texas Business Court, as well as civil and criminal district courts.

She began her defense practice at Schaffer, Kennedy & Johnson, where she assisted in the representation of physicians and pharmacists. She joined Edwards & Associates as an Associate Attorney following her admission to the Texas Bar in July 2025, where she earned a score placing her in the top 15 percent of examinees. She is also an active member of the Asian American Bar Association and the Asia Society.
